Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) thanks the SBA List after the passage of H.R. 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, in the House of Representatives.
Transcript:
First I want to thank everyone who has been active in the push to enact the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, historic legislation that also has a very strong conscience clause in its provisions. I want to thank the Susan B. Anthony List, Marjorie Dannenfelser, and the whole gang for the wonderful work, the groundbreaking work that you've done over these many years, including promoting this legislation to ensure that there's no government complicity in the violence of abortion, which hurts both mother and child.
We are, I believe, moving to the day when the unborn child will be re-enfranchised and protected in law from the killing fields that we now see occurring across our country and sadly around the world. The Susan B. Anthony List has played a major role over these many years, and I just want to congratulate all those who have supported SBA List as well as the leaders, especially my good friend Marjorie Dannenfelser.
