The white car is the Alcyon II Ultimate. The Alcyon II Ultimate was released in 2001 - 2002, and the BD-5E in 2010.
The BD5E using Sanwa M-11X radio, Orca 55C batteries 6000mah, Orca ESC Mark II, Orca 10.5T motor.
My Car is using, HW V2.1 ESC, TP 10.5T motor, Intellect 5200mah saddle pack 45C only, and sanwa MX-3 Radio.
As you can see in the video, at the beginning my tyres has not warmed up yet, hence no traction, later when i have the traction, my obsolete car becomes a formidable contender. Eventhough its old, its able to carry a lot of speed through the turns, even rear ending the front car a few times. This proves that the old motor in the center layout with saddle packs (Xray T1, HPI RS4 Pro2,TRF 414) still works today. I am also not using a front spool but a front ball diff.
The only problem with the Kawada is its weight, which is at 1500g RTR. As you can see it takes noticably longer to accelerate to top speed from the exit to the long straight.
The moral is, dont look down on older cars !
