HOW THE HECK CAN YOU COMPARE EARTHBOUND WITH THAT CRAP!

I mean, seriously. I know Earthbound has not good graphic. BUT, it was the great graphic back in 1995. And that CRAP(Whatever the name is{sucker}) is like a game from nowaday. NOTHIHNG BEATS THE TIME.. If Earthbound was a game that came out nowaday, it can be like that CRAP. Maybe WAY better.

So, when you compare a game, compare games came out in 1995, ass.

Heck CoD isn't realistic in that if you were actually shot you would be rolling on the ground screaming "Oh God, the pain, the pain!" and soon fall unconscious or die not continuing to shoot, or eventually running out of ammo. There is nothing wrong with liking realism, but there is something wrong in expecting it when the creators aren't intending for a game to be realistic. And face it, games are escapism in the form of entertainment, if you want true realism, go outside, it can be nice.

And an important aspect of gaming that you tend to ignore is variety and divergence. Games come in many different genres and you have to judge them as such, so you can't judge an RPG on FPS standards. People have different tastes, so you like FPS's, wonderful, good for you, but you don't like anything not realistic... um, no offence but realism is not necessary or critical to a game, fun is.

Apples and oranges, that's all I see here. You're comparing two radically different games in nearly every aspect. I've never played CoD, so I have no opinion, but calling Earthbound a 'baby' game is completely unjustified, its idealistic, happy, colorful and has an eldrich abomination as the final boss for contrast. Oh, and once you get Jeff, you get a bazooka, and things go boom, mostly trees but what are you gonna do?
