Wolfe Island, ON -- Proposal to place Concrete plant upwind, immediately adjacent to Lake Ontario. Ministry of the Environment must apply the precautionary principle in its consideration of the application as required by MOE's Statement of Environmental Values. The MOE permit if granted will allow LaFarge Canada Inc. to emit contaminants including suspended particulate matter, nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide and carbon monoxide from the combustion of No. 2. Additionally in wind line to Old Fort Henry.
