Extra performance doesn't come cheap -- well not usually anyway. But for £445, Renaultsport Megane 250 owners can get their cars' computer reprogrammed by Superchips to boost power from 247bhp to around 300bhp.
So what is the effect on performance? To find out we raced a Superchips-tuned Mégane against the standard Renaultsport Mégane 250 over a standing quarter mile sprint. And then compared the two in a fourth-gear rollon from 50mph for good measure.

@envoking Not true. This is comparison of two cars with 300 Hp, It means 2 cars with same output.
Absolutely relevant, if you are not Focus nut and hate Megane for its overall better performance.

now do a remap to the focus RS and do the run again the result will dont be the same (focus will have nearly 340hp)
300hp remap are not the same thing that 300 hp stock

Did anyone else notice that this FRS is a 09 plate, this car has not had the "Hard brake pedal" remap that Ford had to do to all FRS before Dec 09. This remap was because cars were only pushing out 275 BHP instead of 301 BHP....... The fault was with the Ecu holding back on boost pressure around 3000 rpm, especially affecting power in 3rd gear. Funny enough the video says "in 3rd the MRS3 just pulls away" funny that?
