Acronis True Image operates independently of Windows. To restore a system partition you have to initiate an exclusive process of Acronis True Image, whereas simple data partition can be restored from Windows

  • @1mashoman The process and the wizard in Windows and CD are the same, so the tutorial is applicable for recovery both from Windows or from CD. But please note that this is an old tutorial, created for an old version of Acronis Software - the new tutorial can be found on the Acronis Channel, under the Backup & Restore Playlist.

  • TIP!! You could run this with the disk from the start (when you start the computer) and save sometime. I personally just wiped my drives and put them in Raid 1 and restored my previous install of Windows. Easy as pie.

  • can you do 1 tutorial with cd?
