@LisaJJMerry The United States was a friend of the British throughout WWII. They provided supplies to your country even when they were supposed to be neutral. The Russians were allies with Germany early in WWII, and provided Germany with raw resources after Briton established a naval blockage. The Russians only switched to the Allies once Germany decided to attack them. I don't know which version of history you were taught.

@xusmcguy If it wasn't for the US I would be speaking German or Japanese? Really. Russia invaded Berlin, invaded Germany, liberated Europe. We took the heat while the US calmly landed on the beaches. Sure you gave us supplies, but who did all the fighting? Japan was able to continue fighting after the war was pretty much over is because they had PRIDE. At that time anybody could've forced Japan to surrender. Russia is the true victor of WWII.
