@DOCTORDRIBBLES Brilliant humour at its best. Thanks for cheering me up on a wet Friday afternoon doing admin in the UK. Good luck with defrosting turkies.

So when did Ellen DeGeneres have a recording career???

@nvgpeter Respectfully, I don't. In impressionism, color is most important, I agree with you. However, the color should arise from, not completely ignore, the relationship between individual sonic lines--which is what I meant about consistent match. The decision to ignore the relationship is akin to the musical equivalent of abstract expressionism, IMO, whereas in Bluebeard the color arises from the melody and arrangement.
All that gas aside, this is one of their great tunes, isn't it?

Never perceived this as a weakness. I see it as musical impressionism.

Fraser is fucking bonkers.
I'll never forget the first time I heard the Cocteau Twins. I was defrosting a butterball turkey and this song kicked-in on the radio. Suddenly I was traveling at the speed of sound towards a golf course. I landed with the raw turkey and set it free by a pond. As soon as it swam away I took off like a rocket and woke up in a Hospital.
