Add caution to feeding mouldy hay to cattle please!
Blue, or grey moulds can cause abortions in pregnant bovine.
There is a point where hay is so poor in quality it shoud be introduced into the composting manure pile only.
Cake'y, dusty, grey smelly hay becomes toxic........pitch it out. It's a total loss.

Now I know WHY I shouldn't feel moldy hay to my horses but that cattle can handle it OK - I always wondered about that. Thanks !
