This is one of the most moving pieces of music I've ever heard, and one of THE most compelling performances I've ever seen (of any artist, regardless of genre, style, etc.) I'm not ashamed to admit that I've watched this video a couple dozen times (and reposted it on Facebook so I could share with even more people)...and it still moves me, gives me chills, and takes my breath away EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I played in the orchestra on this performance, but listening on here, I realise just how sublime she is! A true hightlight of my career to perform with the greatest female singer alive today.

I love how at the beginning it almost sounds like there is some coughing plague, but by the end of it not a whisper - Fleming is capable of commanding a room full of people just with her voice. Singers like her always amaze me, but none that I've heard can move me like she can; there is something simply celestial about her voice.

Compelling and disturbing scena. Her singing is without compare now, and has the magic and eroticism of Schwarzkopf, with equal skill and perhaps a more moving instrument. I am breathless with adoration when I hear her.
