A display of photographer Andres Serrano's 'Piss Christ' - Jesus Christ on a crucifix submerged in a jar of urine - was destroyed by a group of hammer-wielding teens in France, adding to the country's ongoing debate about religion.

@DaveParnell24 I don't see ANYTHING artistic about some eccentric loony who uses his own blood and semen to create 'artworks' and then displays a crucifix in piss-what's artistic about that? Any idiot could do it (if he were hatefilled enough). It shouldn't even have been allowed in a musuem because it's an insult to art and to people. The fact is (let's not be childish about this) this piece can't really be taken in too many different ways. It's a photo of a crucifix suspended in piss. It was meant to be incendiary it was meant to offend. If it wasn't the artist would have to be literally the most naive person ever. That still does not give some punk kids the right to bust into a museum and destroy art and threaten property and lives our rights to free expression and open discourse trump their feelings every time.
