There was 1 key thing that no other video told that helped me learn to land a backlip it was when he said the tighter the hold the faster the spin.

@3SAUGAT I never reply to anyone kid...and yes hight and tightness of the tuck thats all it is...I am a very old ex gmnast (41) so im about 30 lbs of muscle heavier than when I when I competed in college. thats why this flip looks like an old man is doing it because I am old .. haha good luck and check out my music on the front page of my channel..God Bless and keep working at it ;)

After watching a ton of backflip tutorials I gathered up enough courage to try it for the first time on a trampoline. I did it, but awkwardly landed on my ankle and thought, "Oh God, no. Please don't tell me I sprained it or fucked it up." I didn't =) but damn it hurt. No good.
