Holloway Road cyclist killed in collision with bus


A cyclist has been killed in a collision with a bus in north London.

Police were called at about 13:10 BST to reports of a bus having collided with a cyclist on Holloway Road, near the junction with Jackson Road, in Islington.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the male cyclist had died. The bus had stopped at the scene.

Police said Holloway Road would remain closed while the incident was being dealt with.

iv seen alot of cyclists get very hurt through driving infront of vehicles just because they think if they dive out infront of you then you will see them and so if can see them then its your job to slam on your brakes an be able to stop in time.My friend got a large payout because he was traumatised after he hit a cyclist jumping a red light at a cross road ,well done mr cyclist thanks alot we partied hard

i was hit by a bus when i was 14 when i was on my bike, i was lucky tho only sustained fractured skull and few cuts and bruises, this poor guy or woman wont be as lucky!! i pray for their family!!

@sal64london yea, its a lond drive all right! its exactly 440 miles from my house to my sister joannes house in surry. thats excluding the ferrie. i like driving over, its like a big road trip to me. i have the flask of tea, hard boiled eggs, home made bread ect... its very exciting and ur lookinf forward to see all my little neices. but the drive back is so tense, coz ur rushing for the boat and worrieing will u hit traffic and miss the boat
