24 Hours of LeMons South Fall 2009 - Murilee Martin Bumper Cam

Judge Murilee Martin loaned us his camera for the Carolina Motorsports Park Fall 2009 running of the 24 hours of LeMons. Camera is mounted atop the right corner of the front bumper. Team Police Brutality had a lot of overheating issues over the weekend (bad head gasket), though we got some good "V-8 Power" shots of the CMP road course. The stock drivetrain (135K mi) pushes out 280HP, and as you can see, we were pretty stinkin' fast. In fact, we held the fastest lap time for a good part of Saturday (1:02.675) until Lightning McQueen came over the top with a half-second faster time (1:02.123). We had the only other 1:02 all weekend!!! Temperatures were into the mid-90s for most of the race.

That was our 69 & 96 car that you blew by near the beginning. Did you guys keep the fast lap record?

No, McQueen took it. Still, we're pretty pleased with the stock-motored Lincoln's performance! We just need a motor.

This video makes me seriously want to race in 24HoL. Cars are black-boxes to me, but it looks like SO much fun!

I was just joshin.. re-reading my comment, it sounded kinda mean but wasn't meant to be :) Besides, I'll be in your boat soon so to speak as I've just finished up building a v8 Lexus which should be similar to yours just heavier and slower. :)
