Tong bi is said to be pre-Chen style taijiquan. Master Zhao emphasizes moves to loosen the upper body and quicken the lower body in his multitude of exercises that he leads in front of the Tian Lun Hotel in San Qing Shan, Jiangxi Province, China. Master Zhao leads drills in a variety of movements, progressing from loosening wrist joints, elbows, shoulders, hips, etc. to complex full-body applications. He demonstrates applications of basic moves and gives numerous pointers and detailed instructions on how to perform them more perfectly. Good warm-up for loosening and structurally connecting. Three very instructional videos that you can follow along with as he goes through drills. Part 1 introduces moves and detailed explanations on how to use the back and dantien to perform them. Translated and interpreted by George Xu. Part 2 contains an excellent translation by Master David Leung who participates with Master Zhao in demonstrating moves and explaining details.
