Keeping with the theme of highlights videos, I've decided to put together a hurricane chase highlights spanning the years 1999-2011. Like my 1999-2011 tornado highlights, this video features the meat and potatoes of my hurricane intercepts over the years.
Hurricanes featured in this video are Hurricane Floyd, Hurricane Isabel, Hurricane Frances, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Gustav, Hurricane Earl, and Hurricane Irene! Hope you enjoy the ride!

@kurtdog119 Yep, and the combination of Irene's flooding, and the torrential rains from Tropical Storm Lee a few weeks later devastated many communities in the northeast

The hurricane you intercepted just under a year ago was Hurricane Irene, which produced water levels higher than Hurricane Agnes produced in Pennsylvania in 1972. I've seen a video on YouTube from a Knoebel's Amusement Park guest, and he was stranded on the bridge from all the water. The water level at Knoebel's Amusement park was actually higher than the water level in Williamsport, Pennsylvania during the flood of 1972, and that was a bad flood.

@tornadovideostock Oh yeah, I remember we had rain before the storm, then came Floyd adding to it and the flooding was terrible. Thankfully I had a route to make it to work, so many roads were blocked off due to the flooding.

I remember Floyd, but it didn't directly hit my town like Fran did in 1996.

@siobhan104 Thanks!! Yes, Katrina was definitely a storm to remember for sure! As far as the naming of storms, I believe the national weather service calls the shots on that! All the best to you as well
