I think your port may be too big... I have 2 type r 12s in a custom box tuned to 48 hz with a m1000 alpine amp and an alpine 9887 head, pushing 149 dbs. so you can still probably get a lot more out of these.

i have two type r's and i have a hifonics 1200 watt brutus. and mine is wired down to 1 ohm and they beat like 12's

lol, that shows your knowledge of car aduio. with my cap i have no dimming of the lights at night. without it my lights dim along with my dash lights. lol nub.
