What have a WW2 graveyard got to do with a memorial service. Even if you use that analogy at those memorial service they don't have solders marching.
You shouldn't be rude to Americans because if it wasn't for the dollar the Irish would still be running away from your Ireland looking for work and security. America also funded the Provo's.
Speaking of Irish freedom, do you really believe that the Irish are persecuted and denied their basic human rights? I don't!
By the way, I ain't no Loyalist, I'm not even from the British Isles or narrow minded as I can see the bigger picture here.
Your argument is one dimensional, "Brits Out"! and thats it. Nothing about the philosophy of a country. I believe either Ireland will become one, one day through persuasion or a state within Europe.
IRemember, if you don't bring in the Loyalist on a voluntary basis rather than kicking and screaming, they then become the freedom fighters
And you're trying to upgrade the man to prove yourself right!
You talk about a British man having a Brit Flag at his funeral. Thats the difference. An Irish flag at a Funeral for an activist is OK but at a memorial service where you have people marching in military style is more about propaganda and agenda, not about the man, his personality, his humour, his life, his family.
There's nothing wrong with being a proud Irishman but whats the craic with the uniform and marching at a memorial service. I'm afraid, to an outsider it smacks of using this man's memorial to promote an ideology for someone's agenda.
Why are you such a Neanderthal?
