Please tell me the minimum height that a hair light should be.

I want to use my 9 foot tall garage. Is that tall enough?

9 feet is high enough but you won't have as many options as a 12 or 16 foot ceiling. I know a lot of people who shoot in living rooms and garages. It works. :)
