This video was shot during a railfan trip to Altoona, PA. The SD80MACs led by Conrail 7208 are rounding the curve and headed into the East end of the tunnels at Gallitzin, PA

  • Those babys are monsters of the rails!!! That's pure power right there

  • Eerie how it disappears into the darkness.... :)

  • Honestly i agree, but its how railways work.. Look at NS compared to CSX who painted they're last one years ago! NS didnt paint 7205 until i believe, March.. But yeah if those heritage scheme's come out, i'd rather see a CR SD80MAc in it!

  • FK NS, this pisses me off more than anything, like they couldnt have left just ONE in what I consider the best paint scheme on a modern loco ever.

  • Favorited.

  • What song is this?

  • Sadly, there is no more remaining Conrail painted SD80MAc's. NS painted the last one which was 7205 back in early march. 7208 was painted back in late Feburary while in storage. 7205 espcaed storage untouched and was then finally painted..

  • Wow! I guess I was fortunate to catch this one when I did. Thanks for commenting.

  • Amazing video!
