@Uygur102 True, but the Vapor trail you describe is caught in the wing tip vortex of the aircraft making the spiral shape in the trail. As you say, only very strong vortices have low enough pressures for condensation to occur.

that's not a vortex, this is the gas coming out of the motor that is evaporating, and it's evaporating because of the cold air at that height
