Megadeth's "Peace Sells" on bass - LRRG

This video was recorded for the sheer enjoyment of it, even though it is the most cliche' Megadeth song of all time. One cannot help but to head-bang to this absolute classic, and I certainly do not count myself as an exception. I even do a whole lot more nutbaggy things, too....lip synching, etc. I have no self control, and it doesn't help that I used to do vocals for the tune way back in the day.

Unfortunately, I make a boo-boo or two (couple of mis-hit notes when the tune speeds up, a brain flub on the one or two descending triplets, etc.), but that's okay. It is not a jazz odyssey....just fun and games. The vid is a little fuzzy....'ooks like my batteries need to be changed.

Oh, by the way, Dave Ellefson, the bass player for Megadeth, is one of the best pick bass players around....great speed anD control. Some on youtube have an attitude about the pick...all I can say is that derision towards the pick limits a bass player by taking away a whole world of style, speed, and tonal possibilities.

ive just got myself a peavey zodiac bxp dave ellefson signature bass and when used to play this iconic bass riff it totaly rocks...its a really meaty bass for the money( £250 new or about £100 second hand)..allthough dave used a bc rich to record this song originally you can get real close to that tone using the peavey and a half descent amp..AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING A PICK..a real bassist can use pick or fingers depending on what type of tone you require..anyway cool video ROCK ON.
