@Troyhas3 Yes, tuning can change instantly. That's why it's up to the musician to make a change to compensate. The tuning generally improved as the piece went on. Tuning is also a continuously active thing. Every note has its own special pitch tendencies on each individual instrument. The better you know your instrument, the better you'll be able to play in tune. The more you try it, the better you get! The band sounds good overall! And the clarinets are much better than ten years ago!

@hp71196 We probably did, but since you know everything about music, you probably know that when the temperature changes, so does tuning. We tuned in the warm-up room, this, as you probably have deducted with your vast amount of intelligence, is not the warm-up room.

Y'all should have tuned the trumpets.

the soprano saxophone solo could've been stronger and less squeaky.

so much better than the middle school band!
What a terrible comeback. All performers who play instruments warm up in these "warm-up rooms" you speak of and not one of them complains about their tuning on stage. The whole purpose of warming up is to get the lips moving and ready to vibrate at different frequences and to get the air in the horn warm so that you aren't out of tune. The temperature in the room will not have as big a factor to the tuning as it sounds here so obviously you guys didn't tune sufficiently.

@123jr1997 Be careful. Temperature is one of the biggest factors in tuning a band. You are correct about the goals of a warm-up, but after you've warmed up the horn, you're put into a completely different setting, where the tuning can change instantly. Thank you for your advice though.
