I don't know if I'd actually go through all the trouble of cataloging what I just purchased. Like someone said, have the receipt from the store contain a QR, that's a pretty good idea. But it's more hassle than what it's worth for me at least.

Why don't they just add a little camera on fridges to scan the barcode of everything you put in it? You still have to worry about deleting it off a list when you dispose of it (if you forget to scan it off the list), but it seems it's smarter than physically cataloging all of the goods, no?
[Obviously this wouldn't work for foods that don't have a barcode i.e. fruits/breads/veg]

Do washing machines with built-in scales exist? I could see the washing machine being able to record the weight of the clothes actually useful.

Wireless blender is actually pretty genius. Imagine not having to plug any power cables. Imagine not having to be restricted by the distance to the plug. Imagine powering other high-powered devices like laptops by just putting them on a flat table. This is similar to current wireless charging tech, but not limited to that wimpy 5 volts that they are now.
