@Gymroids Thanks so much! You did a nice job, I liked that you put in pictures from childhood to his present age.

@Gymroids He did such a dynamic job as John Boy that he was forever typecast. Altho I did see him in Puck in Midsummer's Nite Dream and he was so wild and wonderful that I forgot all about The Walton connection. I think the Theatre is his salvation as an actor, but give him time and he may bump into a wonderful opportunity along the cinema lines. But see him on stage if you get the chance...he's worth your time.

@MsFelixtheCat50 Thanks. I am so glad you enjoyed my tribute to Richard.
The music is all - American, firstly 'Pavane' by Morton Gould followed by the slow movement from Don Gillis's 'Symphony no Five & a Half'. All very John-Boyish I think!

i for the life of me cant remember the name of the movie he did so im asking it here. he played a nutcase that went on a shooting rampage in a office building because i think it was because of some woman he had feelings for.
anyone know the name of the movie he did that im thinking of?

@brokenwing36566754 It was called 'Stalking Laura' (also known as 'I Can Make You Love Me') and co-starred Brooke Shields as Laura. After 'All Quiet on the Western Front', it was probably Richard's finest performance on film.

There is no doubt that Richard T. had all the attributes of a successful film actor - the voice, the versatility, the commitment & especially the looks. So why did he not go on to achieve the immense promise that was so manifest in 'All Quiet on the Western Front? Any suggestions?
