  • lovely playing, isn't that unusual to see the left leg crossed over like that, unorthodox?

  • Not that uncommon, especially when people play without a strap.

  • @kidneykutter whenever i do that my lag gets numb in less than 2 minutes and my knee starts to ache...

  • @JaJDoo Me too, that's why I use a strap instead

  • taking liberties and playing expressively IS the application of 'authentic performance practice'. Many documents from the period indicate one should play from the heart, not like a trained bird. (CPE Bach)

  • After hearing his great Weiss concerto recording, I was interested to hear how he tackles the solo works. Please post more if available.

  • @kidneykutter i use a "tail" instead ( one sided, i sit on it ) and sit like i use to when i played guitar. i just cant play an instrument without lifting my lag anymore....

however, i pass it under my thigh instead of over it - its anchors the lute better this way.

  • personally i like his songs in animaniacs better, but this is alright

  • my first time listening this very great

  • great interpretation

  • All the better then! Cheers!
