HAMMOND B3 vs. NORD C1 - - Tell me this ain't close sounding...

misc. solos from Utsunomiya. I am really blown away (even after 3 years) how realistic the Nord C1 looks and feels, even though its really really light...The NORD C1 is run through a BEHRINGER SPEAKER I got for $100 used !


...In answer to the question which I keep getting asked: The bass playing is my LH. If you look y...ou can see some spinet pedals attached, but my foot is on the Leslie switch on most these tunes. (A secret with digital keyboards: If you work the volume pedal and Leslie a lot, some of the "digitallyness" can be eliminated... for example, if you're holding a note, you use the expression pedal and Leslie to give it the right amount of swish... on top of that, you have to carefully EQ out the highs so its not muffled sounding, but there's no shrill, then after that get the right amount of overdrive and reverb for the room and BOOM, its like buttah! - - That said, the NORD is very good, but I think with the extra stuff I mentioned its even better !)

I am impressed with the sounds of that Nord keyboard! I like the Hammond Suzuki SK-1 much better. But I would prefer the Wersi Pegasus Wing as it has more sounds, more professional features, a touch screen and also is a work station too.

@patsaxon I got the Pedal Keys 27 and C2... gotta do a recording. Its pretty amazing, though the keys of the C1 for some reason felt springier. I tell people who ask for my advice on keyboards that you really have to decide what's best for you... Sound's important, but I think the feel of the keyboard has to let you do what YOU want to do. For me, I really love this thing -- feel like I'm playing a console!
