Lyrics:
when you wanted me
i came to you
when you wanted
someone else i lived
through
when you asked for
that i set myself
on fire
and if i go
far away
i know you'll find
another slave
cause now i'm freed
from what you want
now i'm free
from what you need
now i'm free
from what you are
when you wanted love
i cut my veins
and when you wanted
love i bled myself
again
now all i've had i
still love you
i'd give you up forever
and here i go
far away
i know you
you'll find another slave
cause now i'm free
from what you are
now i'm free from
what you need
now i'm free
from what you are
than a vision came to me
when you came along
i gave you
everything but then
you wanted more
cause now i'm free
from what you want
now i'm free
from what you need
now i'm free
from what you are
hey
now i'm free
from what you want
now i'm freed
from what you need
now im free

WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT SPECIAL EDITION??? And by the way, good job but the song is played in Drop B. You're playing it in standard.

@Chevellefan01 Sent you the details to your inbox. Yes, I've played it in standard, but it's my way of playing it. If you feel you wish to tune down and learn the recorded version go ahead. :)

Isn't the song in drop B. The chords sound a little different when you strum the low B note

@yadav4 Which chords are you refering to? It sounds fine to me. It's possible that he plays a seven-string, but I don't think it's very likely. :\ Best thing to do is to play it any way you want though, and as always I can never guarantee this is exactly the same way they recorded it. I've just checked other versions and made necessary alterations and corrections.

any help on playing this on acoustic? I'm having trouble doing the power chords because you're only strumming certain strings
piehuntermdi 1 year ago
@piehuntermdi While there are ways to get around it, doing anything but power chords will not sound the same way. You could try playing it all in minor chords, but it won't have the same rock feeling. My advice is for you to train muting certain strings with your right hand by the bridge, or if you have a classic guitar model, go for fingerstyle or try picking only certain strings. Training will get you there! :)
