nice this is what i was looking for
my first question iis why is there that much sand? Do you have a sand filter that is shooting sand into the pool?

Doing routine maintenance vacuuming you should be on filter. However is you are vacuuming algae you should have you r filters set on waist. This will vacuum the algae out of the pool. Never vacuum algae in to sand.

Why turn off your chlorinator when you vacuum? This applies to chlorinators that take supply water prior to the Filter. If you water feed is before for the filter small derbies can get caught in your supply line effectively turning off your chlorine feed with our your knowledge.
So for simple insurance against plugging your chlorinator feed lines, turn off your chlorinator prior to vacuuming.
