  • @AledWyn91 Yes, it is. Music has such a strong (and usually quite unconscious) emotional influence on us that ignoring it is truly a shame. :/ I love it how music plays a tremendous part in Sherlock. To me it's not only the maker of atmosphere but also a link to tradition, since you could imagine it suitable for older Holmes adaptations as well. There's something very Holmesian to this music. :)

  • @ScaredHare Exactly! David Arnold is a lover of the more traditional, lyrical soundtrack (which at a guess is why John Barry handpicked him to take over as the Bond music maestro!) and his themes for this show not only provide atmosphere but also, for me, act as part of the characters themselves. As for the traditional element, there are hints of the Hungarian gypsy scale in this melody which somehow fits Holmes' maverick charm, I agree. :)

  • I love the cabby! Awesome Character. Love the series!

  • Played by Phil Davis, who is a tremendous actor!

  • @EnigmaDrath I really have to try that! :p

  • I love how whimsical this sounds!

  • Ok, I just watched the first episode...

    It was AWESOME! :D

  • Now when I notice this soundtrack kind of remind me of the "Sherlock Holmes" movie soundtrack, especially the way they are using the bas! And I like both soundtrack, though I think this is slightly better! ;)

  • @13katty13 Cos you're not looking hard enough. The Sherlock soundtrack is up there, look under David Arnold as album

  • It reminds me of what we all imagine Sherlock to be while reading the books, but is still modern enough to work

  • This should be played in gyms and phys ed classes.

  • It was our school fair yesterday and my best friend had this in her phone. We played it and we walked (trotted/ ran/ jogged) around the school. XD

  • 0:33 Red signal - John waits

0:37 Green signal - John jumps

:D :D Just noticed this now
