ya it is.. just remember not no let the car roll back in drive, its REALLY bad for your tranny. you can step on the brake hard once your facing the wrong way, or quickly throw it into neutral. i broke my handbrake before the tranny, so u should be fine too

that man angers me.

its easier in a auto, unless like some new cars it doesnt have a handbrake instead it has a pedal under the steering wheel

ive done this many times in my auto ford contour its not hard at all just shift into neutral right before you handbrake and its no problem in my car u have to be going about 55 you can leave it in drive but for some reason it dosnt come around as easy.

i did it 2 days ago, i got out of work, it had rain and i was like Fuck it! let see if i can dont it, first try i didnt pull the handbrake enough lol but the second time it was so easy =)

I think all you need really is a handbrake. Most automatic transmissions change gear according to speed, so you never know. It could work... Just practise in an area away from people .

an empty parking lot would do just fine. make sure appropriate medical personnel are on hard to provide asssistance just in case.
