This is one of my favorite songs by Dionne. Bacharach could not have chosen a better person to sing his songs than her.

Remember when Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and food in general actually tasted good? Don't know why but for some reason I just felt I had to say that.

@centralparocker I am totally in agreement...It's a perfect song with the perfect singer..that has never been surpassed

Melodia perfeita, Dionne e Burt impecáveis.

@centralparocker MINES TOO !!!

This is the music i listen to on the fantail of a navy ship while sailing around the south pacific back in the 60s. The music is still as good, but i will never capture that feel of the open sky and fresh air steaming to a far away place, with my battery powered turntable and Chinese bought albums. I still have the albums, but the turntable is somewhere at the bottom of the south pacific around the Kwajalien islands ..

@str8tuptlk No one else could sing this song .

Broadway songs...Dionne made this a mainstream tune thanks to Burt B. & Hal D. Love it!

I was only 11 when this song was first. I just love this song.

Next year, Burt on Broadway again if things go well for Some Lovers, now in San Diego. I'm crossing my fingers, because the music never fails to please.
As for PP: great BB song and arrangement; best Dionne I can recall.
Comparable only, perhaps, to the same combination in Who Is Gona Love Me?
One of my favorite all-time songs....!!!!

@centralparocker I agree, I heard the Quadrophonic demo of this track with Burt Bacharach and orchestra in the early 70's, adding Dionne on vocals was a perfect match!

This sounds a lot like "The Theme From Kojak" - there are definite Kojak rifts thoughout it. Give "Kojak" a listen and tell me if I'm wrong.
