I love Jimi and what he did, but I never understood why people 'cover' hey joe in honour of Jimi, it doesn't really represent him. He was kinda forced to do it by his manager cos he knew it would be hit. On another note, voodoo child should not be covered as it just gets murdered every time. SRV played it well though.

This is one of jimis best songs an he covered this from tim ross lol i guess wen tim heard it he said fuck it he deserves the rights to this...same with all along the watch tower by bob dylan hendrix made it his own lol sry dylan...but hendrix idolized dylan like no other.....rip jimi wish i coulda seen u play

@tjrtherocksponge Jimi is the ultimate Stratocaster king and by far the greatest guitar player of all time. As far as songwritting, Jimi wrote almost all of his songs so ofcourse that the best ones come from his: Little Wing, Voodoo Child (Slight Return), Purple Haze, Foxy Lady, Bold As Love, etc...

Sweet video, I think Dave Gilmour is probably the best guitarist ever, although for blues I have heard better players. When It comes to the emotive powerful solos then Gilmours ya man ;-)
