Please check out youtube and the internet for a variety of exercises with a sledge hammer. http://www.gripfaq.com/Wrist_Strength_Exercises/ is a very good one. Here a lever to the nose is shown which basically trains the ulnar (pinky side of the wrist). For a more balanced workout it is better to do a variety of exercises.
Thanks. It trains the wrist well. Jim from Beastskills advised it for the one armed elbow lever, so I thought of giving it a go.

Something I've never tried, but heard a lot of positive things about, is the sledge hammer workout. Some of my favorite MMA fighters use it. Nice tutorial!
