  • WoW, awesome, but it might cost a factory too much to produce thousands of solid screw drivers, haha

  • This was filmed at a machine tool show and was a demonstration of a complex part being machined that could then be handed out as a part sample to remember the company by. Thanks for watching.

  • Pretty good for a Chinese machine.

  • These machines are not manufactured in China. Please visit our or Jinn Fa's website and you will see they are from Taiwan. These Taiwanese machines are having no problem competing with the more expensive Japanese and German Swiss type CNC Lathes and at a fraction of the cost.

This actual machine was recently sold to a customer who has Citizens and Tsugami swiss machines and it is out performing those machines on the particular part they are running.

  • The problem I see with this type of machine is that with the work piece moving in and out like that is waste material getting pulled back in to the head and causing a jam. Especialy if you are machining something that likes to gawl like stainless or something that dosn't give so easily like titanium. Thanx for the film

    Best regards Mark

  • Thanks for the interesting view. The point of Swiss type lathes also known as Traveling Headstock lathes (Spindle is/are the Z axis) is to provide close to zero deflection. Jams do not occur in the Z axis as the spindles and bar feeder are all synchronized. Also, the materials most used in swiss type parts is usually stuff like stainless, titanium etc. as these machines are most predominantly used in the machining of high precision medical equipment and components.
