We played this at All state this year I was in the Jr college band playing tuba. Ive never heard it as the string quartet but its amazing! We also met the composer too!!! It was amazing such a great song! And wonderful choreography for this piece as well! Loved it haha

I remember playing this in my 5th grade band :') It was for band though, not for orchestra. One of my favorite pieces we played!

@iheartjimothy No. It's an original piece by John Mackey. There is also a saxophone quartet version. Where would you get the idea that this was a spiritual?

we use this as our opener in our marching band show <3 amazingness only its sped up alot but its still pretty awesome either way
