Aaron Haaland explains how we're not going to carry Variants any longer at "A Comic Shop" and why you should get help if you are addicted to them. Don't be a RACIST, judge the comics by their content and not their covers.
Bravo! I was a sucker for variant covers when I was a teenager for the hope of selling them at future profits. I enjoyed comics but eventually I had to quit buying comics because it became too expensive. Variant covers are B.S. and comic publishers have proven their greed and lack of concern at keeping themselves in business with long-term customers. No wonder so many comic shops went belly-up after the comic bubble burst.
put a stop to it my favorite old comic shop! i used to bring my ambulance to the store on a constant basis when i lived there. but that was to buy great stuff and pick up babes.
now the ambulance is gonna be there to pick up cracked out variant cover cravers...spending their last dollar on that racist trash. it seems like a good idea at the time...until the "VC" gets into your system. its a narcotic of the worst degree. my dad died because of variant covers. just say no.
@PirateBackwards Ummm, I'm not sure where you got that I hate my job from; frankly my job is awesome. I'm exactly doing what I want to do and enjoy doing it. However, I also recognize the difference between a good business decision and a moronic one. He is an idiot as far as business is concerned; meeting demand is the sole purpose of business. Anything else past that is giving himself bad PR and losing profit on his retarded assumption about comic book covers, which, people will pay for.
@mistoroboto just because you hate your job doesn't mean everyone else does too. i support aaron cuz he believes in comics for the sake of comics. and he's right too. it's just like how hologram covers helped ruin comics and he's refusing to buy into something thats ultimately self destructive
Clearly like a Variant cover he / store must not have a market /good demand for his sale and this is a good way to try to start something or just get free advertisement either way as I said before and as he as not reply back that the artist are making the money and they them self have made the market demand this ...Clearly he has no clue or understanding / Foolish he is and it a shame to be frame on Youtube hurry and get your friends on here to back you up and get more comm on your side WASTE
No one does a business because they love it, they do it to make money. By saying you are not going to cater to a demand makes you look like a foolish business owner.
Just remember one thing it also the artist that are behind this they them self make these cover and retail them at convention, I know it suck's from a retailer and Also cgc yes many think they suck but with too many dealer's and quike cash that turn's a non-shop owner into a dealer . The thing is it's the demand and everyone is to blame it not just the company's , Artist , Dealer's ,
Shop, Ebay, its the market and the demand..Now days it the way it is but one good thing no counterfit's

ok - he rips the covers off of comic books.
that is something that - as a principle - one should never do.
I do not injure books or comics. I keep them as they are.
Can someone explain this to me?
If you rip one of - is there another beneath it or what?
