JVC Blu Ray Player Unboxing/Pics!

This video is an unboxing of my new Blu Ray Player Unboxing so I can watch awesome videos at the best quality.

**I did not buy a ps3 because it does not have as good of upscaling as the one I bought. I did a lot of research, and becuase I already have over 200 dvds, I wanted something that is very good at upscaling dvds to better quality. Also, I rarely have time to use my xbox 360, and DO NOT have time for another console, nor would I want to pay 60 bucks for another game!

But what if you don't want a gaming console, because you already have one? You know there are people out there who just want to watch movies. And the newer blu-ray players have much better abilities in upscaling than the PS3 and don't suck 170W electricity like the PS3 (ps3 slim 80W) for example this player needs only 26W and isn't nearly as loud as a PS3. Everyone has his own priorities.

I also recieved a Sony Blu-Ray player for Christmas, and while it is a great system, the DVD upscaling is standard upconversion, not bad if you sit far away or watch it on an CRT, but I have seen better upscalers out there, like an Xbox 360 and my friend's LCD/DVD combo for example. Others mentioned a Toshiba HD-DVD player, but I have yet to try it. Me and my friend also watched a few episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Fantasia on the combo and traditional animation upscales easily.

JVC? Uhhh, Sorry man but that brand isnt very good, I mean decent Blu ray but you overpayed, I bought a better LG blu-ray 1080p for $179.99

alexosh, that JVC is really a great player. I have a buddy who tests most every Blu-ray player that comes out. He does all of the picture tests and that JVC really is a great upscaler.....yes better than the PS3. The only players that upscale better are the Oppo and some Pioneer models. But you pay a premium for those units. Many of us have NO interest in a game console. We want an aesthetically pleasing, non-immature looking unit to fit in with our home theaters.

Well alexosh you think the upscaling on PS3 is not that good but PS3 upscales better then most stand alone blu ray players and also the PS3 from launch 'till slim will be 3D compatible. Your JVC won't be 3D compatible so maybe you'll buy a PS3 anyway if you'll ever want to enjoy your 3D LCD HDTV. PS3 is the best BLU RAY player on the planet!!!

You should have got a PS3 because it not only plays blu-rays, but it lets you browse the web. Its also a great gaming console.
