The Wordpress Demo will walk you through a site that we did for Compassion International who is a large non-profit organization. The site is a sub-site of their parent site and the URL is http://www.give12.org . Few people believe that this site is in Wordpress at first glance because the design is so custom and there is so much interactivity in it. Each and every aspect in the site is manageable through the Wordpress admin. There are several custom Wordpress plugins that we developed for the site. The beautiful site, all the custom plugins (sliding controls, story management tool which was custom, etc), Content Management System integration, cross browser validation, content population, Wordpress training and a custom documentation manual was done for a price of $3,000.00.
In the demo I walk through editing a post. The benefit here is that you can Preview the changes to the post / page you are editing without posting it to the site so you can ensure everything is exactly how you want it before posting it to the general public. Also the ability to schedule posts.
What's the point of Wordpress CMS at all, if it is limited to editing text within a rectangular box of text? You can just go into source code -- yes, even clients can do this on their own. In fact going through all of these options just to add 1 line of text makes the job counter-intuitive.
Can Wordpress edit in WYSIWYG mode? What if my layout requires 4 columns that I want to edit separately?
