Disney's Missing 10th Old Man Jack Dunham : artist, animation instructor and producer in the 1930s and 40s for Disney (uncredited), he was the last of the original Walt Disney crew. Born in 1910 in North Dakota, USA, Jack recently passed away in Montreal, Canada making him the longest living and last of Disney's original old men. In this video he recounts going to Walt and Roy with an idea that would save the Studio 1/2 the production time and half the money. He says the idea worked..for a while. Filmed the last night in his Montreal appartment at 95yrs old. RIP ol' Buddy.

Check out Jack's other videos for some rare and interesting vintage Disney history.

  • Indeed it does. Most television work done in Canada is pay per footage of some sort. Though I wonder if that hurts the quality, puts extra pressure on animation supervisors, and creates an environment where people don't really communicate because they come in just to finish their scenes. It is efficient and those who work efficiently benefit greatly from their efforts.

  • He seems like a hardcore businessman.
