@alicosu yes Seljuk Turks comes from khorasan, Mahmud Gaznavi was a great Afghan Sultan, just as Sulaiman was great turkish king, even though turkey as state didn't existed when sulaiman was the Calif, it was Islamic kilafat of usmanya, Afghanistan's historic names are Aryana and Khorasan, it became popular as afghanistan, because a certain group of people of khorasan became powerful and took over khorasan and they called the whole khorasan after their tribe, which is Afghan (pashtuns).

He was a Turk, please accept that Turks also lived in Khorasan region. As for me: My paternal lines comes from a Turkman family in Khorasan despite i live in Turkey.
