I'm a 100% Chinese!!!

  • @ikhamo

Zhong Guo, wo ai ni = China, I love you. The Chinese people, of all nations, have a very strong sense of national unity. Having lived there for quite some time I found that the people have a much higher collective level than most people feel for their homelands.

Awesome! Do patriotism education via the way people like, it's much better than some stiff forms.

  • @shanqijing3129832 You hit on the key here: "无关政" - Independent of Politics. As I stated below, folks need to separate their political feelings towards governments from the people themselves, not just with China but with ANY country.

  • @4tomoconnor InshaALLAH, I want to go to the Great Mosque of Xi'an, and read the scrolls.

And I wasn't referring to this song when I made my comment, I was just thinking about our brothers in China that are oppressed, and this was one of the only things I could do about it (bringing more awareness to it).

Thanks for replying though, I would love to try out the food one day.

  • @ZagiEscobar Zagi: Just to follow-up, I am an American married to a beautiful Chinese woman. I also have spent much time in China and have learned to love it also. And God...the FOOD!! :-)

  • @ZagiEscobar Zagi: First I think you need to separate "The People" from "The Government". "Zhongguo, wo ai ni" is not referring to Chairman Mao's regime. It refers to the Country and the people, who are extremely warm-hearted as a group. Funny thing is though, at least among the more traditional Chinese, they very rarely, if ever, say wo ai ni to each other... and I'm talking about married couples. Often, not even referring to each other by name. AN unusual, but wonderful culture.
