The premise: A woman becomes trapped in a state between dream and reality.

This is a short film I wrote, directed, produced + edited starting late last year and recently finished in late April 2011.

Also, please take the time to feast on an entity full of artistic force called the Organized Threat: http://www.organizedthreat.com/

Organized Threat, or OgT, is a movement that is fueled by hungry individuals specializing in the arts. "The OgT Movement Was Started By Front MC "Poetic Death" To Bring Light To The People He Was Constantly Building With. In Time It Has Evolved Into a Collaborative Effort Between Underground Poets, Artist, and Skaters To Bring The True Essence of Conscious Hip-Hop and Intellectual Artistic Expression Back To The Surface of Things."

  • I don't know what just happened, but it was awesome. :]

  • @UnbornChild Well he succeeded.

  • @Professortorcoolguy1 Yep, I'm sure disturbing the audience was part of Lynch's goal, and that's a valid one.

  • @UnbornChild except, I found Eraserhead genuinely disturbing...and there was more than one place that legitimately scared me...Imma go watch Zeotrope again. It's like going through the Ludovico treatment. Except intriguing.

  • @Professortorcoolguy1 There you go! You've got it!

  • @UnbornChild Well, it was plenty enjoyable. Being someone who puts so much importance in dreaming I understood a lot more in it...buteventheniwouldn'treallycareit'sjustawesome.

If you can't find meaning, watch it again without trying to find any. That's always a safe, fun thing to do.

  • @Professortorcoolguy1 Well don't stress it.. all art is much more about the experience than the "getting it". Just be immersed in the world of it...watch it, live it, cool. I know that for this film I made that we're leaving comments on that a whole lot of people didn't "get it", and they've told me that. But it doesn't upset me, because that's not the point.

  • @UnbornChild I've seen films that are just weird for weirdness's sake. Eraserhead isn't exactly one of those. There's a point...I'm just too dumb to figure it out...

  • @Professortorcoolguy1 I think that's the point of any art. The point of surreal is the dream-based content. I only said that because people point out "Eraserhead" as if Lynch was just being weird for the sake of being weird.

  • @UnbornChild Isn't that the point of surreal art? That everyone sees it differently?
