@Dave70100 THATS. MY. POINT. im asking where it took place because the police didnt overreact.
-
@dave70100. um yeah thats why i dont want to live in somlia and probably why so many flee to come here, as for empathy you seem to be the one severly lacking in it, have u ever seen the police give someone a beat down to the point that when they got bundled in to the back of a van you were concerned the werent coming out of it alive and no one would know? what if they got the wrong person. that shit happens all the time, and if someone stole my food i'd like to think id do something about it.
-
@kkibela In some countries, e.g. those without police, like Somalia, stealing food would get you the death sentence.
If I was having a civilised time in the park and a gang of ne'er do wells aged 17 going on 7 swarmed us I'd be very angry and I'd want the police to deal with them. Try thinking outside the box and using empathy to see the mob from someone else's point of view.

@TheJoshjosh1986 A lot of my black friends say they were mocked by their 'bredren' for 'acting white' in their youth. Those who said it are now adult cliches while my friends work where I do with proper careers in central London. They came from Deptford and Tottenham but they never stayed there.
-
@bad4ever2001 True but the weak give in, most ignore the local Mr Big's and lead normal lives. What is your opinion on ambitious black teens being told they are 'acting white' by their peers? Most of the tracksuit and gold brigade who say that probably haven't even noticed Obama. I once took a sociological point of view but have lost patience. Nobody is owed anything and all get free health and education which is more than most of the world. The supposed 'endz' dwellers get everything paid for.

@Dave70100 it all depends on the environment. If you were born into a family where as a child no body taught you the value of self worth or esteem and you had the unfortunately chance of interacting with friends from similar households, personal responsibility may not even factor in such a scenario. Because if you remember, we were all taught the values of responsibility at some point. Every action stems from a cause. People will turn to criminality because of pressure of the environment.
-
@dave70100 ok I was at this years event but are you even serious...stealing food? oh why dont we give them a death sentence then, ever heard of the punishment fitting the crime? a little bit of knowledge would be wonderful so would a little bit of humanity, of course police presence in that situation is necessary, and if they hurt someone they fully deserve what they got but there is no news this year and it looks well suspect to me.
-
@bad4ever2001 What about personal responsibility? Most people in crap areas are normal, only the weak losers turn criminal.
-
@cobotic Better things to do? So normal people are having a civilised time in the main park in the world's greatest city when a load of inner city teens acting like 10 year olds run riot disrupting everyone's day. You think the police should shrug? Amazing. You also forget about the dregs who turn up in the slipstream carrying knives and using the chaos as an opportunity.
-
@AKstraightedge Ha ha! what a clown. They did show restraint, battering and bullets would have met this in most countries, fact.
Actually, several people were badly injured during this 'friendly' waterfight. There's always someone in the crowd that spoils it for all. Thats why the police were called. as for the fat, long-haired idiot, where else in the world can you adopt a fighting stance in front of a riot officer and not get arrested? The police here adopt a very soft stance and yet so many idiots endlessly call them thugs. Shame.
