To me, this video is an absolute must !

    Why ?

Because for the very first time one can see Thomas Kessler.

Thomas Kessler (a very ahead minded composer) is the man who transform Tangerine Dream from a psycho-rock band into an electronic music band.

That fact is not much told. But that fact is the basis for a good understanding of Tangerine Dream's story and also Klaus Schulze's story (remember he was a guitarist/drummer before he met Thomas Kessler).

thanks for the comment - I think the very innovative music at the end of the sixties and and again at the end of the seventies could not been possible without the influence of people coming from outside pop music or even from outside music at all - and on the other side musicians that were open minded to look outside the narrow field of pop.

I don't know that there was an album, but I have a recording of both sides of the single.

if so that's early use of the term 'krautrock'- I'm unclear about when it came into usage- It's been claimed by Julian Cope- that the 1st Duul (1) lp- Psychedelic Underground came closest with the use of the term 'sauerkrautband' on the opening track--- He also claimed the word came from a 1970 UK music journalist- I think- Sure i'm being an 'anorak' but hey---

Steve Jolliffe on the flute, and maybe Charlie Prince on the drums! Great clip. Thanks!

This is an excerpt from the WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) "Krautrocker essen kein Sauerkraut / Krautrocker don't eat Sauerkraut"documentary.

Has anyone some track, if not the album, from Froese's period in The Ones (before TD)?
