Some of the walkers include Arnulfo, winner of last years race, and Scott Jurek, winner of this years race.

It's amazing to watch these videos and see McDougall's people and places come to life. As I attempt to start running with Vibrams, I'm looking for vids that show the Tarahumara running technique, but haven't found any. Ted, any suggestions?

those sandals wearing by indians seems to me NOT so thin and flexible at all, specially those walking over breage.
Are tires as thick as 4mm or even 3mm Vibram or some of Terra Planta shoes?

@magulica You are right. What they do NOT have is cushioning or lift. The FEELING of impact is not reduced it you land hard. However, you are spared having to feel every rock and bramble...totally unnecessary to run well.
