I have a vw trike with dual port 1600. Ill never know how fast it will take off ... It lifts the front tire pretty easy in second, dont plan on trying in first anytime soon.

not in a million years would I peg you Pete as a VW Bug guy, not in a million years - but it's cool, they had to do something right on those cars for them to be around 50 years later

Can beetle's fit v6's without having to cut the boot lid?

I have a 66 bug I love it and will never sell it. First car and it's the coolest thing. If you ever have one I recomend you don't sell it no matter what condition!! (o\!/o) for life!!

Solid Motor Mounts----And a Thunderbird header... It's a 1600 Dual Port,, STOCK...
In the process of Building a 1776 with 1 5/8 exaust, 041 heads, graphite coated Cima Pistons, AS41 8MM Dual Relief O.E.M. Cases, Decked out to ZERO Deck Highth for Compression... Im using that Weber Single 44mm with Electric Choke.... This thing is gonna SCREAM.... The Exaust makes a BIG DIFFERENCE in the way your motor runs.......

good stuff, I'm not so sure about that deck heighth idea though... seems not to be the best thing for a street bug, or even a race engine for that matter... I believe .020" (20 thou) is ussually the recomended min-height limit for an aircooled V-DUB Type-1...BUT, it's not mine, so if that's what you're going to try, then all the power to you man!
I have a 2027cc Type-1 streetbug that I'm going to redo this spring and bump to 10:1 c/r. Keep us all posted on your project, best of luck with it!

Yeah your right on the deck highth.. I was wrong- I went 20 on it. Just got done with the engine, it runs GREAT... By the way, how does that 2027 run for a street car??? Isn't that a little too much engine? You must really be gettin around town in that monster motor bug!
