Oil rigs provide an artificial habitat for many different types of marine life. The oil rigs shown here are Eureka and Elly off the coast of Long Beach, California. These types of dives also open up the unique possibility of 100+ foot visibility at depth which allows for a fantastic view of the cathedral created by their structural supports.

  • ...and sharks don't like hanging in the structures, which is kinda nice! BTW, is this the flat lens you refer to in the Holly Beck whaleshark comment? What is a 'flat' lens...narrow angle? Looks good.
