EQ Mastering

This EWI improvisation, driving the Alchemy syntheseizer, came out as a nice first-take with two overdub rounds. But some metallic sounds got too harsh and the only way to make it not explode speakers and eardrums in the future was to automate the exact frequency band range's level at exactly the accurate musical positions. Looks pretty fun to watch them dance to the mix! What you see in the video is one stereo audio file in Logic's automation window. Each of the six rows represents one specific EQ band range of the plug-in Fabfilter Pro-Q. Pro-Q isn't part of Logic but I love that tool!
