@ohbutyes, Please fix the title; Wiktionary says "surrey - A light carriage seating two or four, drawn by horse."

Her phrasing of the lines at 3:52 is sublime, and her trill within "surrey-with" at 0:40 that's echoed by the vibrato moments later in "fringe" is magic. Wow-o-wow!

- I can't imgaine 'passion' being employed in any rendition of this song but if you check out Vic Damone's recording you'll get a good impression of just how much of an ass you could appear if you tried. This song would have remained for me, like many other 'songs from the shows' , way on the other side of 'hip'. However, Blossom Dearie's interpretation and arrangement of this tune is nothing short of amazing and this particular performance takes the biscuit.

You have managed to miss hearing one of the greatest singers ever while looking for things that are not even supposed to be there.

BTW - If 2:53 to the end doesn't have enough "passion" for you, your ears are clogged /// or your brain.
